One of the best parts of this whole endeavor is just being back on my bike. I rode 40 miles the other day. First time I've hit 40 miles in two years. This was our Paradise Loop buddy ride -- From Sausalito over Camino Alto to Paradise drive out to Tiburon and back to Sausalito. The actual buddy ride was 30 miles, but I rode from my home in the Richmond district to Sausalito adding 10 miles r/t.

First time I've biked over the Golden Gate without having to hold on for dear life under hurricane winds! okay. I exaggerate, but the winds are usually strong enough to make the side fence between you and The Pacific Ocean seem very small. This day, however, was perfect, beautiful, sunny, and with just a nice cool breeze.
